My heart is set to follow you as closely as I can
To not let compromising colour me
But sometimes I am disobedient
Sometimes just a fool
But you won't let this fire die in me
I know you're holding me
And will not let me go
I can't exhaust your love for me
I find security in knowing that I'm known

Growing in maturity and faith

Just one more climb.
One more small hill and I
Can stare at the ocean,
And dream.
Except this is the wrong hill.
But I'll climb till I find
The beautiful blue
Of this amazing creation.
Several years of hills later,
I'm still going.
No sight of the cliffs and
Certainly no squawk of gulls.
I'm making progress,
I can see a star.
I'm finding this dream.
More hills to go,
More scenery to enjoy.
Just another one to go.
This one's special.
I can see a cross and hear gulls.
I have someone to

The star is a setting sun.
Just one more hill.
Then I can see the ocean.
